Senior Designer
Mark started his Electrical career in 1979 as an apprentice fitter mechanic. He progressed quickly from an eager apprentice to a tradesman who then became the final QA inspection and testing leader. One of the most high-profile projects that Mark was involved in testing & commissioning was the Collins Class Submarine propulsion switchgear for the Australian Navy. This required Mark to attend Merlin Gerin’s (now Schneider Electric) factory in Grenoble France to learn new testing techniques never used before in Australia.
During Mark’s 42-year career in the switchboard industry he has held many roles varying from commissioning technician, design draftsman, project manager, manufacturing manager and design manager. The highlight of his design draftsman role was successfully producing various type test designs including a 415V 100kA unlimited arc fault containment switchboard.
Mark joined BE Switchcraft in 2021 as a Senior Designer and hopes to be able to share his extensive knowledge of switchboard designs to the business.
