Adelaide SkyCity Casino Upgrade

The Adelaide riverbank precinct has undergone some dramatic changes of the last few years and one of the flagship projects has been the 330M upgrade of the Sky City Casino. BE Switchcraft were honoured enough to be part of this project and helped our clients deliver a first-class product for the Skycity group. Building Automation is now a key part of construction projects and this project featured a strong focus on lighting control and room automation.

This project enabled us to provide our full Schneider Eco Expert package and streamlined the delivery approach for our customers.
We delivered over 130 x LV Switchboards, 8 x LV Mechanical Boards, 3 x Schneider Varset PFC, 4 x Schneider Accusine Harmonic filters and a complete building automation/lighting control system with over 1000 Lights, 200 Blinds, 9000 CBUS groups, 71 Dali Gateways and 142 Dali Lines.

We would like to thank our clients NSG Boffa and D-Stal Electrical for the opportunity to work with them on this flagship project and acknowledge our partners Schneider and Azzo who worked with us during the project.

The final outcome shows the long term benefits of delivering energy and technology solutions that help manage and reduce power consumption as we strive to be a more energy-efficient community.

Bowden Village

Health Innovation Building

The new Health Innovation Building, scheduled to open in 2018, will be an integral part of the South Australian Health and Biomedical Precinct on North Terrace, opening up a number of new health research, teaching and community engagement opportunities.BE Switchcraft provided the Main Switchboard through the electrical contractor NSG Boffa.

This included a high degree of engineering capability to meet project requirements and site spatial restrictions.

Lyell McEwin Health Services

Scope of works
Main switchboards, main distribution boards, generating power change-over switchboards & general distribution boards.

Key challenges

  • Project requirements included comprehensive provisions for continuity of supply to all critical and essential services. spatial challenges
  • Extensive monitoring of the use of energy, remote ‘bms’ control of ‘lighting’ and ‘loadshedding’ throughout the installation facilitated prioritizing of energy requirements in case of ‘mains failure’ and ‘back-up’ supply and status monitoring.
