Doug started his electrical career in the UK in 1979 with a small local company working in various capacities for organisations including British Nuclear Fuels as well as the Trident Nuclear Submarine Project for the British Ministry of Defence. He was soon seconded to Carrs Biscuits of Carlisle, the home of the Table Water Biscuit and the original manufacturer of machine-made biscuits in the UK, as electrical Installation Supervisor.

Migrating to Australia in 2004 Doug continued working for bespoke switchboard companies but now as Supervisor on the more technical platforms for various mining companies, as well as continuing his defence work, this time for the Australian Defence Force.

Doug joined BE Switchcraft in 2016 and in the time he has been part of the BE team he has seen the business grow and is very excited with the future challenges in his new role as Electrical Testing Supervisor.
